You do not need every answer at the first step, but identifying missing details early makes the specification review more productive.
Record dimensions with a clear reference
Distinguish the wall opening from the finished door or cabinet size. Record units, wall thickness and finished floor level where relevant. Add a sketch showing the viewing direction and the required opening movement; agree the final measurement method before approving production sizes.
Separate appearance from construction
A photograph can communicate a colour or design direction. It does not establish the substrate, surface process, glass specification or hardware. List those items separately and use physical samples for finish approval.
Prepare the drawing set
- A room layout or product schedule.
- Elevations for walls and cabinetry.
- Door opening and handing sketches.
- Relevant site conditions or fixing details.
- Model references and selected finishes.
Confirm the quotation basis
